To honor examples of the best overall facility designs, an annual awards program is cosponsored by the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and the American Institute of Architects-Committee on Architecture for Healthcare. This DVD-ROM and CD-ROM set contains the top 28 projects from 1992 through the current year. Winning designs include both adult and pediatric units, with
each project reviewed in a three- to five-minute DVD-ROM segment. The companion CD-ROM contains the requested criteria for each unit and corresponding floor plan.
